Gerusalemme, la Città Santa accoglie pellegrini da tutto il mondo. In questo tempo di incertezze continuiamo a pregare per la PACE NEL MONDO, ma anche per le tante persone che a causa di questa situazione non lavorano.
Jerusalem, the Holy City welcomes pilgrims from all over the world. In this time of uncertainty we continue to pray for PEACE IN THE WORLD, but also for the many people who are not working due to this situation.
Lo staff della nostra casa di accoglienza ha optato per il SI e ora siamo tutte vaccinate!!! Continuiamo a rispettare le norme necessarie per assicurare un ambiente sano. Communique stiamo pregando con tutto il mondo che questa pandemia finisca e ci lasci liberi di incontrarci, visitare posti e godere la bellezza della vita!!!
The staff of our “Pilgrims’ Home” opted for the YES and now we are all vaccinated !!! We continue to comply with the rules necessary to ensure a healthy environment, Anyway, we are praying with the whole world that this pandemic will end and leave us free to meet, visit places and enjoy the beauty of life !!!
Abbiamo seguito e stiamo seguendo con apprensione gli sviluppi di questa pandemia che purtroppo ha preso molte vite. Preghiamo per coloro che non ce l’hanno fatta a combattere il virus ma anche per le tante persone che sono a contatto quotidiano con i malati di questa pandemia e ai quali va tutto il nostro rispetto.
E’ da Marzo che la nostra struttura è vuota e come la nostra tutte le altre presenti in Israele. Quelle poche persone che hanno passato alcuni giorni con noi hanno visto quanta precauzioni abbiamo preso per il loro bene e anche per il nostro. Le restrizioni continuano ma noi ci siamo chieste : “che cosa possiamo prendere di buono da questa esperienza mondiale?” La qualità dell’aria sta migliorando perché l’emissione di carbonio è diminuita, gli oceani e i mari sono più puliti, ci siamo resi conto che abbiamo bisogno gli uni degli altri, anche se ancora dobbiamo sconfiggere questo virus che sta colpendo ancora.
Ci auguriamo che la solidarietà tra gli stati si rafforzi sempre di più, che non si faccia la gara a chi per prima riesce a trovare il vaccino giusto ma che le teste si mettano insieme per il bene dell’umanità. e quando finalmente riusciremo a debellare questa pandemia mondiale, vi aspettiamo a braccia aperte ricordandoci che…. Gerusalemme è la città dove la morte è stata vinta con la resurrezione di Cristo!!!!
Preghiamo per voi e se volete che preghiamo per intenzioni particolari non esitate a scriverci e noi porteremo le vostro intenzioni nella nostra preghiera quotidiana. grazie
Is there anything good to take from this PANDEMIC?
We have been following and are still following with concern the developments of this pandemic which unfortunately has taken many lives. We pray for those who did not succed to fight the virus but also for the many people who are in daily contact with the sick of this pandemic and to whom goes all our respect.
Our structure has been empty since March aas all others in Israel. Those few people who have spent some days with us have seen how much precautions we have taken for their sake and also for ours. The restrictions continue but we asked ourselves: “What good can we take from this experience that touches the whole world?” The quality of the air is improving because carbon emissions have decreased, oceans and seas are cleaner than before, we have realized that we need each other, although we still have to defeat this virus which is still very much present among us.
We hope that the solidarity between the Countries will be strengthened more and more, that there is no competition for who is the first to find the right vaccine but that the heads come together for the good of humanity. and when we finally manage to eradicate this global pandemic, we hope to see you and you will be received with open arms! Let us remember that …. Jerusalem is the city where death has been won by the resurrection of Christ !!!!

Decisamente il refettotio degli ospiti aveva bisogno di “allargarsi” perche’ a volte risultava molto stretto e allora abbiamo buttato giu’ qualche muro finto e guadagnato spazio! Nel fare cio’ le antica mura della casa sono risaltate nella loro bellezza quando abbiamo tolto l’intonaco e ora sembra un altro refettorio. Il lavoro non e’ finito ma sappiamo gia’ che il risultato sara’ stupendo. Vi presentiamo alcune immagini….
Definitely the dining room of the guests needed to be enlarged because, at times, it was very narrow and so we pull down some fake walls and gained space! In doing so the ancient walls of the house stood out in their beauty when we removed the plaster and now it looks like another place. The work is not finished but we already know that the result will be wonderful. Here we present some pictures…

Oggi abbiamo avuto la gioia di accogliere un piccolo gruppo di coreani che sono venuti a celebrare l’Eucarestia e a condividere un semplice pasto. Alcuni di loro torneranno nella loro patria e – per salutare chi rimane – hanno deciso di ritrovarsi qualche ora insieme. 
Sr. Lucia Lee ha preparato un pasto alla coreana e tutti hanno goduto intensamente il breve tempo passato nella nostra casa.

Today we had the joy of welcoming a group of Korean friends who came to celebrate the Eucharist and to share a simple meal. Some of them will go back to their Country and – in order to say “good bye” to those who remain – they decided to spent few hours together.
Sr. Lucia Lee cooked a meal for them but… a Korean recipe and all enjoyed intensely the short time spent in our house.

Martedì 13 giugno abbiamo ricevuto la visita di un gruppo di giovani universitari che frequentano il corso di lingua italiana nella Università Ebraica di Gerusalemme. Li accompagnava la loro insegnante Professoressa Camilla Beltrami
Sr. Mercedes Martín Leon ha preparato per loro una conferenza sulla storia della nostra Opera in Gerusalemme sin dalle origini che risalgono all’inizio del secolo scorso. I giovani hanno mostrato interesse verso l’argomento e hanno fatto alcune domande instaurando un dialogo arricchente.
On the 13th of June, we received the visit of a group of young university students who attend a course of Italian Language in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Their lecturer, Prof. Camilla Beltrami, was with them.
Sr. Mercedes Martin Leon had prepared for them a conference on the history of our presence and apostolic work in Jerusalem, since its beginning, that was in the early 1900. The students showed interest on the topic and asked few questions, creating an enriching dialogue.
